Wine E-Label FAQ

Does this apply to all wines?

Yes, as of December 8, 2024, all wines marketed in the EU must provide nutritional and ingredient information, either on-label or via e-label (QR code).

What about wines already bottled?

Wines bottled before December 8, 2023 can continue to be sold with old labels until stock is depleted. All new bottlings must comply.

Do I need one QR code per bottle?

No, you can use one QR code per wine/vintage. All bottles of the same wine can share a QR code linking to the same e-label page.

What languages are required?

Information must be available in a language consumers can understand. We recommend offering all major EU languages for the best experience.

Does this apply to spirits and beer?

Not yet, but similar regulations for spirits and beer are expected in 2025-2026. lnk.eco will support these when they come into effect.
